A girl who never stopped believing in doors to other worlds

I grew up in a small town with a big library card. I hid under blankets with a flashlight, finishing chapters long past bedtime. Now I write the books I needed then — funny, tender, thrilling stories where sensitive, quirky kids save the day with heart, not swords.

📖 Former elementary teacher — 12 years in classrooms, 1000+ read-alouds tested on toughest critics: 3rd graders.
🌲 Nature & folklore lover — every book starts with long walks, mossy notebooks and old myths retold for today.
💌 Mission: help every reluctant reader find that one book that makes them gasp “just one more chapter!”
🏡 Lives in a cottage with overflowing bookshelves, a sleepy cat named Plot Twist and a garden full of fairies (allegedly).

What age are your books for?

Picture books 4-8, early chapters 7-10, middle-grade fantasies 8-12 (but loved by teens & grown-ups). Every book lists age, reading level and “scare level” so families can choose cozily.

Do you visit schools and libraries?

Yes! In-person within driving distance + virtual worldwide. Assemblies, writing workshops and family nights. I bring dragon puppets, maps and lots of laughter. Book via the contact section below.

Where should a new reader start?

Are your books good for reluctant readers?
